September 2024 Review

Well, if you know me, you know I love spooky season! And September is close enough to October which is close enough to actual Halloween…so time to whet my annual appetite. This time, it’s through the legacy sequel to the 80’s comedy Beetlejuice! Aptly titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, this movie feels like it captures the core essence of the first film really well. It’s fun and zany and distinct in its own silly gothic way, while also being fundamentally within the identity of a Tim Burton film. It has an earnestness in its script and its cast that just makes you want to like it, and I discuss how that comes to be in this review. So, check it out. For October, I’m sure I’ll have more Halloween-adjacent videos in the pipeline, and I’m excited to see what those will be. Hopefully you are too.
