About my writing

I first became interested in screenwriting and storytelling as a whole when I got to college. Since then, I have been trying to learn as much about the craft as possible while creating something of my own that I am excited about.

Recently, I’ve been particularly attached to a few ideas. An action thriller dealing with police brutality, as well as a fun and comedic whodunit. The lack of adventure movies in the 21st century is what initially drew me to screenwriting, so those ideas are always on the back burner, too.

And, as they say, if you want something made, try your hand at indie horror. So, why not??? If you’ve got an interesting story with some good ideas for scares, can’t hurt.

I give a bit more detail on each of my four featured works below. If you might be interested in something else, though, feel free to reach out! Chances are I’ve tried my hand at it.

When Elena, a reporter from Boulder, Colorado, finds herself stuck at a weekend charity retreat courtesy of the local police department, she runs into all sorts of unscrupulous characters. Chief among them is Detective Alexander Karmonte, a bombastic, case-cracking Casanova. And, coincidentally, Elena’s least favorite celebrity.

To make matters worse, her ex boyfriend has just been impaled by a taxidermized moose head, killing him and springing a murder investigation. With what very well may be a complete buffoon of an investigator on the case, it’s up to Elena to figure out who dropped the antlers on the police captain before the detective puts away the wrong perp.

But which one of these idiots can she trust?

James Brooks finds himself in the midst of a movement he can’t seem to get away from. With the fallout of a recent police brutality ruling seeping into nearly every part of his life, he has no choice but to confront reality.

Finally fed up with the seeming lack of consequences for those in power, and the what appears to be lack of action from those capable of holding them accountable, James considers drastic measures.

Driven to a breaking point, James takes the law into his own hands in a vengeful attempt to deliver punishment to those who seem to relish in doling it out themselves.

Leslie Carter is the unfortunate victim of a kidnapping when an eager, zealous potential client of his won’t take no for an answer.

An even more unfortunate victim, however, is his date, Rachel. Now both stranded aboard the maniac’s yacht, they’re stuck in a race for a mythical relic, desperate to stay one step ahead if only to stay alive.

Each on the adventure for their own ends, Carter and Rachel will need to figure out this treasure hunting business sooner rather than later, before the next squad of ethically-bankrupt mercenaries comes through with guns blazing...

Caleb will do anything to save his show. Anything. And when that opportunity presents itself, he takes a fresh crew out to the New Jersey Pine Barrens to reshoot a brand new season finale in a last ditch effort.

Annie and Ethan man the audio and video respectively as Caleb leads his skeleton crew into the Asylum he supposedly lost his childhood friend in.

As they delve deeper and deeper into this overgrown concrete cage, Annie must conquer terrors of the crew’s own making, and some that seem to come from a place more sinister.
