Hey! Now, look at this! I finally finished the edit! A self-congratulating blog update where I talk about the side project I'm using to keep my writing brain engaged in the downtime, and my hopes for the second draft of the novel now that it's finished.

September? That's basically October, which is basically Halloween. Time to review something in that aesthetic, such as the new Beetlejuice.

Well, I suppose this is my long-overdue punishment for going so long without reviewing movies. Brutal and swift and unending. I find it miraculous I survived.

Finally I return from the land of television to review an actual movie on my movie review YouTube channel. Much like Proximus, I give the people what they want. Or, I try to make you think I do….

I’ve reached what seems to be the home stretch of the novel I have been complaining on here about since…September? August? Who even knows anymore. But now I’m through complaining! The middle is over! Writing is fun again (for now).

True to form, I enter the pilot month of 2024 talking about a pilot episode, of a mystery, no less. Apparently I’m incredibly predictable.

I give a brief diatribe about what the final act of writing a novel first draft for the first time feels like. Unsurprisingly…daunting.
